Hello again!
A lot has happened recently. First of all, I'm going to New York. A while ago I got into the Society of Illustrators student competition with Winter Hunt...
...and I found out recently that I've received an award from them. I am deeply humbled and grateful that I have been included in this competition, there are so many wonderful illustrators in it! I am going to the award ceremony on May 18th, it'll be a blast! You can see all those included in the competition here.
Now, concerning China:
A few years ago I went to China to teach English for four months with Wayne, Andrew, and Rebekah (my husband, my brother, and my sister, respectively). It was amazing and I had a wonderful experience! I'm going to China again, this time for 10 months to teach English. I believe I will be teaching about 16 or so hours a week, so I'll have loads of time to sketch, doodle, and make exciting illustrations. It'll be great! I am really looking forward to going back and exploring some more, I miss it very much!
Last time I went to Yongzhou in Hunan province, but this time I'm going to Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu! It looks like a pretty awesome place. I'm going with Wayne, Andrew, and Andrew's wife Bonny! We are all super excited.
We leave for China at the end of August. I can't wait!
You will probably hear a lot more about this as it gets closer to August, I hope it doesn't annoy you too much! :)

Hell yeah, you won. You are obviously one of the most talented illustrators. I plan on eventually filling my whole house with your work! Congratulations.

Congratulations!!!!! That is so exciting Hannah!!! I would say I can't believe you won but I definitely can. You are a great artist! Oh yeah... and I wish I could go to China too. That sounds so fun.

Wow! Hannah! That is so awesome. I'm so happy for you! Congratulations!!!!! I'm so excited to see the stuff you produce while in China. I remember really liking the stuff you did last time you were there! Awesome. Awesome. Awesome!
